This site is run to provide humans with a gateway that celebrates the power and flexibility of technology, and encourage human creativity. The users of Melbourne Offline are given tools to collaborate, share and build.
This site was founded by Tom Marks, a disgruntled programmer turned vagabond. After minging in folk spaces he saw potential for technology to benefit these communities. Everything is hosted on local hardware owned by humans in this collective, with the exception of one small VPS which acts as a gateway. No AI was used in the creation of this space, and no AI is allowed inside its walls.
